สีโหเป็นชื่อของตัวละครเอกหนึ่งในสามตัวของวรรณกรรมพื้นบ้านเรื่องสินไซ
ตัวละครเอกสามตัว คือ ท้าวสินไซ ท้าวสังข์ ท้าวสีโห
สีโหมีลำตัวเหมือนราชสีห์
ส่วนหัวเหมือนช้าง ตรงกับสัตว์ในป่าหิมพานต์ชนิดหนึ่งคือ คชสีห์
เป็นการผสมผสานลักษณะระหว่างช้างกับสิงห์หรือราชสีห์ครับ

สีโหมีบทบาทคู่กับสังข์เป็นผู้คอยช่วยเหลือสินไซตลอดเรื่อง
สีโหเป็นเสมือนพี่ชายใจดีที่คอยช่วยเหลือน้องเมื่อยามลำบาก มีฤทธิ์หลายอย่าง
สามารถแปลงกายและต่อสู้กับยักษ์ได้อย่างกล้าหาญ
อาวุธพิเศษของท้าวสีโหคือเสียงโกญจนาท

Mina’s Stories: The Light Poles of Siho in the citer center of Khon Kaen
When you first enter the city of Khon Kaen, especially on Si Chan Road, you will see something on each light poles. What is it?
Si
Chan Road is one of the important roads in the city center of Khon Kaen. The
road is flanked by the light poles on which there are the figures of Siho, a
mythical animal with the head of an elephant and the body of a lion.
Siho
is one of the three main characters in the story of Sin Sai: Thao Sin Sai, Thao
Sang and Thao Siho. They are brothers.
In
the story of Sinsai, Thao Siho and Thao Sang were two brothers who helped Sin
Sai when he was in trouble. Siho has a lot of magical powers. One of them is
his voice. He can roar to kill his enemies.
Why
does Siho deserve a figure symbol of these light poles?
Siho
comes from the noble family. He is brave. He is loyal. And he has no ambition.
Siho is the son of King Kutsarat and Queen Chantha Devi. He is the eldest
brother. He is brave because he helps his younger brother, Sinsai, fight
against their enemies. He is loyal to his brother. He also loves to have a
simple life. When Sinsai became the king, Siho asked permission from his
brother to live in the forest. He gave the reason to his brother that he was
getting used to living alone in the forest.
According
to the Municipality of Mueang Khon Kaen, Siho is an auspicious symbol. Its
elephant-shaped head signifies the city's fertility and reputation. Normally,
elephants use their trunks to fetch food and water. Siho’s trunk brings prosperity
to Khon Kaen City. His tusks signify the magnificence of the city.
The
lion's body means the unification of Khon Kaen people, the good governance, and
the promotion of arts and cultures.
